Review

This review applies to version 2.6. The latest version of this software will soon be reviewed by our informers.

eMaps is a powerful tool developed by Emanuele Traballoni and is used for viewing maps. The program requires an Internet connection in order to work. It connects to Google Maps and allows the Mac users to browse maps in a fast way. It comes with a modern look and an easy-to-use menu that will grant the users quick access to all of the features. eMaps comes in handy because it provides valuable information about places to visit, well-known clubs and hotels. With this tool, you can create routes, but that only means it shows you how to get from a point to another.

What makes this feature-rich application different from other similar products is the superior speed that it provides while browsing maps. It does not burden your Mac and it comes with a tidy interface. The application also provides a traffic button which may help you when choosing routes. The Mac users can basically choose between 3 modes of when using the application: satellite, hybrid and physical.

All taken into consideration you should give eMaps a try; it is free, well organized, it has an intuitive interface and has a superior speed in browsing maps.
Advantages
  • Superior speed.
  • Accurate information.
  • Appealing interface.
Disadvantages
  • None.

A nice, simple application to view maps. I like that it doesn't require a browser to use it.

I really hope they add pinch to zoom and multi-touch gestures. Then it would be perfect.

This application is enough to cover your possible needs in maps. Even though it requires Internet connection to work properly, you do not have to start your browser, which lets you work faster. I enjoyed it.
